PHARMAHEALTH PLUS LTD ("We") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) (together with our Terms of Use and any other documents referred to) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you (whether sensitive personal data or otherwise) (“Personal Data”), or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.

Information We May Collect From You

We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679).

We collect information about you for the following reasons:

  • To process your order;
  • to provide you with the best service possible;
  • to record details of all medicines and other products we supply to you, and medicines that you or your doctor tells us you may have from us on repeat prescription.

We will not email you unless you have given us your consent. If you are already subscribed to receive our marketing emails, you may opt out at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the end of every email we send you.

The type of information we will collect about you when you place an order or register on our web site includes:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • Credit/Debit card details
  • IP Address

If you are purchasing a licenced medicine, we may need to ask you some questions about your medical history to allow us to assess whether you are suitable to receive the medication that you have requested. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by visiting your account or emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information that we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. We will not transfer or sell your information. We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site www.mychemistplus.co.uk (our “Site”). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our Site or regarding the products and services provided by us.
  • One form of valid photographic identification. Please note we do not store this information, it is used to verify your identity only.
  • Sensitive personal data concerning health matters from or about you if you use our Online Consultation Service.
  • Information relating to your general practitioner, including their contact details and any necessary details of letters of request.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence and/or any video or audio uploads or telephone calls.
  • We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our Site and of the fulfilment of your orders.
  • Payment details including but not limited to the name on your bank card, the invoice address and partial card number.
  • Details of your visits to our Site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.

2. IP Addresses

2.1 We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers.

2.2 This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

3. Cookies

4.  Where We Store Your Personal Data

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

4.1     The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, amongst other things, the fulfilment of your order request, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

4.2     All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted through the 3D secure system with Elavon. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

4.3     Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

5. Medical Information

5.1     You should be aware that information captured via our Site will be viewed by our pharmacy and medical team. Please read the patient advice slip inside the prescription pack carefully. No information will be passed to any other person except for:

5.1.1     Disclosure for the prevention of crime;

5.1.2     in accordance with the law;

5.1.3     Compliance with the direction of any regulatory or governing bodies; or

5.1.4     for the purposes of preventing injury or harm to you as the data subject.

6. Uses Made of the Information

6.1     We use information held about you in the following ways:

  • to provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes;
  • to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us;
  • to ensure that content from our Site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;
  • to allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so; and
  • to notify you about changes to our service.

6.2     We may use third parties to verify your identity and contact details. Any information acquired is for the use of the company only, unless there is an obligation or duty to do otherwise.

6.3     If you are an existing customer, we will contact you by post or email with information about goods and services which may be relevant to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you.

6.4     If you are a new customer, and where we permit selected third parties to use your data, we (or they) will contact you by post or email, only if you have consented to this.

6.5     All calls may be recorded for the purposes of quality and training.

When you place an order, we need to know your name, email address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and the card's expiry date. This allows us to process, pick and despatch your order and to notify you of the status of your request. We may also ask for your telephone number which enables us to contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order.

7. Disclosure of Your Information

7.1     We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • in order to provide you with the products or services that you request from us, including but not limited to our medical experts;
  • in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;
  • if PHARMAHEALTH PLUS LTD, or substantially all of its assets, are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets; or
  • if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use, or Terms and Conditions of Supply and other agreements;

8. Your Consent

By submitting information to us you agree to the collection and use of this information by us and its Service Provider (if any). If we decide to change our Privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.

9. Your Email Address

Your e-mail address will be used to communicate with you about your order and products purchased. Your e-mail address will be used for our marketing purposes unless you do not subscribe to receive our marketing emails, or unsubscribe. It is possible to unsubscribe at any time, via the My Account section of our website, or by clicking on the unsubscribe link on our emails.

10. Your rights

You can ask us in writing for a copy of all the personal information we hold about you. We must respond to your request within one calendar month. There will be no charge to have a printed copy of the information. You will need to give enough information for our staff to identify you (for example, your full name, address and date of birth). You will need to provide ID (for example, your passport, full driving license or credit card or debit card) before any information is released to you. We have designed our site to protect the information we collect online from unauthorised access. We safeguard your private information by implementing the appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedure necessary to protect your privacy. To further protect your security, we also take the reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to your personal profile or making data changes. 12. Improving Our Service

We will never sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. To better tailor our services to our customers' needs, we use non-identifying and aggregate information to help us make decisions on how to improve us. We also share this generic information with our advertisers and other interested, reputable parties with whom we have established a formal business relationship. For example, we may tell advertisers which areas of the site have received the most customer traffic overall, or more specifically, how many customer types have visited certain pages. 14. Analytic Tools

Google Analytics is a system used by many websites to record information about visits to their website. Google set six different cookies with expiry dates ranging from 30 minutes to 2 years. These cookies are used mainly to differentiate between first time visitors to a website and repeat visitors. They also allow us to ensure our website performs as well as possible for our users. The cookies can collect an anonymous customer number when a user is logged into the website, allowing our backend systems to ensure accuracy of Google Analytics data and help us ensure your website experience remains relevant across devices. These cookies may be used to help us target advertising on platform providers such as Google and Facebook.

15. Social Media Plug-ins

Social Media Plug-ins for Facebook and Twitter obtain data for tracking purposes. This included the ability to track an audience across device for advertising purposes in line with the terms of each social media platform.

16. International Privacy

The above privacy statement may not be applicable in all countries of PHARMAHELATH PLUS LTD visitors or registered community users, as security policies may vary according to the individual Internet laws in each host country.

18.1     You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. The Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”) gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
